About
A boutique, run by one person and an AI.
Fripomatic is a small fashion house built around a simple bet: a single operator, paired with a thoughtful AI, can run a calmer, sharper store than a busy team.
Our story
Founded by Mustapha, in a back room in Marseille.
Fripomatic started as a way to keep a vintage rack alive between market days — a place to photograph pieces, write copy that didn't sound like a template, and answer the few questions customers actually asked.
As the inventory grew, the inbox grew faster. The pieces are still handpicked; the descriptions are still written by hand. The difference is that an AI assistant now sits between the customer and the operator — drafting replies, tracking orders, and surfacing the conversations that genuinely need a human.
Today we sell through our own storefront and a handful of marketplaces, and we run the whole thing on a stack we built in public. This page is the part of that stack we want shoppers, retailers, and curious humans to read first.
Our approach
How AI assists the operator.
AI handles the volume: order-status lookups, sizing nudges, return windows, the same five questions that arrive every Tuesday. It drafts, it doesn't decide — every refund, every damaged-item claim, every reply to a VIP customer is reviewed by Mustapha before it goes out.
If a conversation needs a real person, you get one. The bot is honest about what it is and quick to hand off when it should. We treat that handoff as the feature, not a failure mode.
Want to talk to a human?
Tell us about your store, your order, or just say hi — Mustapha reads every message that comes through the form.
